Hey there~ How has everyone been? i’m back to share more about Astigmatism as i feel it is truly important and because i’ve personally experienced the transformation of having clear healthy vision!

i mentioned in my previous post that i was diagnosed with Astigmatism at a young age. At that time, it didn’t seem like an issue since both my dad and brother also have it.

As i got older, my blurry vision started to annoy me really badly. For instance, my spectacles would start to fog up and slip off my nose when I jog. However, without my spectacles, i had to constantly strain my eyes for “clearer vision”, and this gave me bad headaches. So, i decided to ditch my spectacles when a friend introduced me to the world of contact lenses.

Back then, i didn’t know what types of contact lenses were available to me. Being a student, i naturally opted for the cheaper contact lens option. Though they did help by correcting my blurred vision, the cheap contact lenses really affected my eye health. i’ll tell you why below:

-        Irritated eyes due to dryness
-        Caused watery eyes, sharp pains and eye infections
-        Was a hassle to keep track of monthly disposable contact lenses and clean/store them properly

In the end, i spent more money on consulting doctors for my infected eyes than what I saved by opting for cheaper contact lenses.

Thankfully, i had a proper eye check conducted for me by an Eye Care Professional a few months ago.

So….what is a comprehensive eye check and what does it do for you?

A comprehensive eye check includes checking the health and condition of your eyes, not just eye power. After the eye check, i was recommended 1•DAY ACUVUE® MOIST® for ASTIGMATISM by the eye care professional. That was really the best thing that happened to my eyes!

For the first time in my life, i was tear-free for a day with 1•DAY ACUVUE® MOIST® for ASTIGMATISM!  i’m not exaggerating! i couldn’t believe it myself either. Wearing the right contact lens really gives you healthier eyes and saves you a lot of unnecessary trouble.

Did you know that more than half of astigmatic contact lens wearers are not wearing the right contact lenses to correct their astigmatism? Many young people also do not realise that they have astigmatism. i strongly encourage all of you to get your eyes checked by an eye care professional before deciding on the contact lenses you want to purchase.
